Snorkeling/Diving in Zanzibar
Zanzibar has an impressive underwater world with more than 500 different marine species. Thanks to the pleasant water temperature of the Indian Ocean, which ranges between 25ยฐC and 29ยฐC year-round, and visibility of up to 30 meters, you can explore the underwater world at any time of the year while snorkeling or scuba diving. The island offers a variety of snorkeling and diving sites featuring colorful coral reefs, shipwrecks, rocky cliffs, and a wide variety of tropical fish.

Practical Information
A diving certification is not required in Zanzibar if you choose to do an introductory dive. During this dive, youโll descend to a maximum depth of 12 meters under the direct supervision of a certified PADI instructor. However, an internationally recognized diving certification is required for independent diving or participation in regular diving excursions.
