Lake Manyara National Park

Adventure exploration in Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park lies between impressive rock formations of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. The scenery and the special animals that live near Lake Manyara make the park special. From waterfalls to hot springs and tree climbing lions. A walk across the rope bridges “Treetop Walkway” make your visit to Lake Manyara National Park a unique experience. You walk at high altitude among the treetops and you have a magnificent view of the park. Birds fly by at similar heights, and you may even see monkeys in the trees. Some rope bridges are as high as 370 meters! Lake Manyara National Park’s location is convenient. If you travel from Arusha towards Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, you will automatically pass this park. A nice stopover in the itinerary because from here you can also head toward the Kenyan border. Lake Manyara is the centerpiece of the park. Due to rainfall in recent years, the water has become brackish and many flamingos have left for Natron where the water is still salty.
