POSITIVE IMPACT
& RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL
Bright Tanzania is about more than just unforgettable travel. Bright Tanzania combines luxury and customized travel with sustainable initiatives. By booking a trip you contribute to our mission “tocreate a positive impact on the quality of life of the local team“. You have an eye for the population and directly support the local team, through this you enable local reinvestment and this creates more employment and better living conditions. The community in Moshi benefits from the trip you book. Our team members receive a fair monthly wage, build up a pension and are insured for medical expenses. Working under good conditions results in job satisfaction and that is what our travelers experience. The entire team, both in the Netherlands and in Tanzania, goes the extra mile to ensure that every traveler has the dream trip of a lifetime.
SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES
SUPPORT LOCAL PROJECTS
Bright Tanzania supports several local projects. One of the collaborations is with Light of Hope Organization in the village of Mto wa Mbu, here orphaned youth are trained as guides. They guide bicycle tours and village walks and are given the opportunity to develop in the tourism industry. Another project is Materuni Primary School, in the rainforest at the foot of Kilimanjaro lies Materuni, here Bright Tanzania annually provides new teaching materials and educational games for the students. The youth of Materuni provide our walking tours to the waterfalls and teach travelers all about rural life. At Lake Natron, we support the Maasai women with materials so they can sell their handmade jewelry weekly at the market in Longido.
Bright Tanzania’s strength: ‘We are the flywheel for future opportunities. Travelers not only make wonderful memories, but directly contribute to something bigger.’

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a private safari in Tanzania cost?
The price of a private safari in Tanzania varies based on the number of travel days, accommodation level and the national parks chosen. Indicatively, a 7-day private safari starts around from €2,750 per person. Bright Tanzania tailors each travel program to suit your needs, duration and budget.
How many days does a private safari in Tanzania typically last?
A private safari in Tanzania takes an average of 6 to 10 days. With 6 days, you can easily visit the highlights of northern Tanzania - Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. For travelers who also want to relax, the safari is often combined with a stay on Zanzibar, bringing the total trip duration to 10 to 14 days.
What is the difference between a private safari and a group safari?
On a private safari, you travel in your own 4×4 jeep with driver-guide and decide the pace, route and stops yourself. On a group safari, you share the vehicle with other travelers and follow a set program. A private safari offers more flexibility and privacy, making it the standard at Bright Tanzania - ideal for couples, families and travelers who want to tailor their trip completely to their own needs.
Which national parks will you visit on a private safari in northern Tanzania?
The most visited parks in northern Tanzania are Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park and Arusha National Park. The Serengeti is known for the Great Migration and large predator populations, Ngorongoro Crater is a natural wonder where you can spot the Big Five in one day, and Tarangire is famous for its elephant herds and baobab trees. Bright Tanzania tailors the parks program to the length of your trip and your interests.

What animals can you spot during a safari in Tanzania?
On a safari in Tanzania, you will usually see large populations of lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and leopard. In Ngorongoro Crater, there is a good chance of seeing all members of the Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and the rare black rhino. In addition, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas and hundreds of bird species live in the northern Tanzanian parks.
What is the best travel time for a safari in Tanzania?
The best travel time for a safari in Tanzania is from June through October - the dry season, when animals gather around water sources and wildlife is highly visible. January and February are ideal for experiencing the calving season of wildebeest and zebra in southern Serengeti. Tanzania can be visited year-round for a safari, including during the green months of March to May, provided occasional rain is taken into account.
What is the booking process for a customized private safari?
The booking process involves six steps: you indicate your desired travel period, the number of travel days, the division between safari and beach days, the budget per person, the desired national parks and additional wishes. Based on this information you will receive an initial travel program with day-to-day details and a price indication. Then the program will be refined until it fully meets your wishes, after which the booking will be confirmed.
