Education & child-youth projects

During your safari it is possible to learn more about the education & child-youth projects in the villages in Tanzania. These projects offer children the opportunity to receive an education and build a better future. You will visit one of the projects to see and experience the leadership. It is also possible to leave a donation or (school) materials*.

1. Mto wa Mbu – Tumaini Home
Tumaini Home strives to be a safe home, school and workplace for people who need ergonomic adjustments, personal assistance and/or medical care.
It is also their goal to contribute so that children from families with limited financial resources have access to quality education, laying the foundation for their chances of building a sustainable future.
2. Mto wa Mbu – Nanginy
In a colorful Masai village near Mto wa Mbu you will be welcomed by Mar-Lisa and her Masai husband Mathayo. Together they dedicate themselves with heart and soul to the future of Masai children through their foundation Nanginyi. Their mission? To give Masai children the chance of a better future through education. The foundation started a kindergarten in the village itself, where children learn the English language through play. Education opens doors, especially for girls. They can build a more independent life, are less likely to be married off and have the opportunity to speak out against harmful traditions such as female circumcision, an issue Mar-Lisa is actively working on.
3. Rhotia Valley – Children’s Home
Rhotia Valley Children’s Home provides a safe and caring home for orphans from the local community. They help children who have no family build their future – a promising one! In addition, they create jobs for the local community.
