Hadzabe & Datoga tribe
One of the tribes is the Hadzabe tribe, they have lived in this area around the lake for more than 10,000 years. The tribe communicates through clicking sounds and still live in traditional ways; they hunt for their meat, milk the cows, and eat the wild fruits from the forests around the lake. The men hunt with a bow and arrow; the food consists of poultry and baboon meat. The women plant vegetables and milk the cows. During a visit to the tribe, a local guide explains the customs and habits of this unique tribe.

When visiting the Datoga tribe, upon arrival the women are already waiting. They wear traditional clothing with embellishments such as fringes, beads and copper bracelets. The Datoga live in a boma: several huts in a small yard surrounded by branches. Take a look inside the huts, discover how they are furnished and how the Datoga live. The men of the tribe are good at working iron; they forge arrowheads on a fire, which they sell to the Hadzabe in exchange for honey.
