Mkomazi National Park
Mkomazi National Park
It is less than a two-hour drive east from Moshi to reach the gateway to Mkomazi NP. Mkomazi national park is a hidden gem for good reason! This park is home to some of Africa’s rarest wildlife, including black rhinos and African wild dogs. It is an amazing park with breathtaking scenery and Mkomazi Wilderness Retreat is a unique location to stay overnight. If you add Mkomazi to your trip you will make two types of game drives. First day in a 4×4 jeep the park and here you spot all the wildlife and the second day you go to Mbula, the protected part in the park. Here the black rhinos live under 24/7 protection of rangers against poachers. Together with a ranger you will drive in an open jeep through the park in search of the black rhino. An unforgettable experience!!!
