In Tanzania, the tip (in addition to the salary) is part of the income, so we recommend tipping. Put the tip in an envelope with the name of your guide or driver, so everyone gets their share. Guidelines for tipping are given below, but of course you decide how much you give. We recommend that you already withdraw USD at the departure airport. In Tanzania and Zanzibar, you can easily use Credit Cards at an automated teller machine (ATM) to withdraw TZS. Indicate to your driver that you want to withdraw and they will make sure you have cash before you enter the national parks.    Drinks, meals and souvenirs can be paid for by cash or Credit Cards. <br>When ordering USD from your bank, be sure to order USD issued after the year 2006. Bills issued before the year 2006 are not accepted in Tanzania.
