You will walk through the rainforest of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. During this hike you will visit the Endoro waterfalls and the &#8216;Elephant caves&#8217; under the guidance of a ranger. The hike starts near Gibbs farm and through the forested slopes, the trail leads to an ancient site where elephants beat the rocks with their tusks. They ate the vitamin-rich soil to get enough minerals and make their bones very strong. The &#8220;caves&#8221; were once used by local tribes as a shelter, this hike gives an insight into the ancient traditions and survival strategies of the inhabitants.
