You drive through dense highlands, where there is a good chance of spotting a variety of wildlife. Once you begin the descent to the bottom of Ngorongoro Crater, it immediately becomes clear why it is on UNESCO&#8217;s World Heritage List. The imposing 600-meter-high crater wall creates a unique ecosystem with diverse climate zones and landscapes. Here you will find a salt lake as well as vast grasslands, swamps and forests.    <\/p><p>Thanks to these varied landscapes, the biodiversity in the crater is impressive. The chances of spotting the famous Big Five are high here, but giraffes, zebras, gazelles and wildebeest are also abundant.
