Discover the tribes of Lake Eyasi and go back in time<\/strong>
Lake Eyasi is a salt lake that borders the southern side of the Serengeti, is home to many species of birds, the many palm trees along the shores give an exotic view. Lake Eyasi is known for the lake, the many birds and the ancient tribes such as the Iraq, Dagota and Hadzabe, who have lived in this area for many years. <\/p>

During a guided walk along the shores of the lake, it is possible to spot flamingos, pelicans, storks and other birds. You will also encounter ancient rock art. Apart from the many birds, a diversity of other animals live here, such as giraffes, leopards and reptiles. <\/p>

Hadzabe & Datoga tribe<\/strong>
One of the tribes is the Hadzabe tribe, they have lived in this area around the lake for more than 10,000 years. The tribe communicates through clicking sounds and still live in traditional ways; they hunt for their meat, milk the cows, and eat the wild fruits from the forests around the lake. The men hunt with a bow and arrow; the food consists of poultry and baboon meat. The women plant vegetables and milk the cows. During a visit to the tribe, a local guide explains the customs and habits of this unique tribe. <\/p>

When visiting the Datoga tribe, upon arrival the women are already waiting. They wear traditional clothing with embellishments such as fringes, beads and copper bracelets. The Datoga live in a boma: several huts in a small yard surrounded by branches. Take a look inside the huts, discover how they are furnished and how the Datoga live. The men of the tribe are good at working iron; they forge arrowheads on a fire, which they sell to the Hadzabe in exchange for honey. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
