MOUNT MERU
Mount Meru, also known as Kili’s little brother, is the fifth highest peak in Africa. The summit of Socialist Peak is 4,562m. Mount Meru is located in Arusha National Park, so you get the real African safari feeling because you encounter all kinds of wildlife during the route. Don’t think Mount Meru is a walk in the park. You need a good level of fitness if you want to climb Mount Meru. This climb is ideally done in 4 days. This gives you enough time to enjoy the beauty of the mountain while acclimating and minimizing the risks of altitude sickness.
KILIMANJARO
Climbing Kilimanjaro is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Do you also want to go to ‘the roof of Africa’? Of course, not everyone has to go all the way to the top of Mount Meru or the snowy peak of Kilimanjaro. There is plenty to see and experience during a day trip or a two day trip on one of the two mountains. The many hiking trails in Arusha or Kilimanjaro National Park are within easy reach and offer a unique experience.
